The National Teaching Council (NTC) has officially opened registration for the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 1, in line with its regulatory mandate under the Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (Act 1023).
This examination ensures that teachers meet the National Teachers’ Standards, which assess their professional knowledge, practices, values, and attitudes needed for effective teaching. Passing the exam grants teachers a professional license to operate in the education sector.

I have a diploma from an early childhood. Can I re-sited for the exams this year
Unfortunately, the eligibility criteria for the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) require candidates to hold either a Bachelor of Education degree or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. A diploma alone does not meet the current requirements for registration.
